Wow , Imagine a day when you would get everything in 1 Rupee.Just one day . Now this is what I imagine! Yeah its fun!
Fuel- Full Tank- Rs. 35 only
Vegetables- 7 types- Rs. 7 only
Fruits - 3 types- Rs. 3 only
Think of as many and you'll just laugh at it!
Infact I am not very sure but the Russians had a day in the year when they would get down the prices to 1 Rouble and from then they would restart the Economic Calender. (Had heard it from a Financial Advisor who was a Travel Companion and heading to Hyderabad to investigate Satyam and Maytas!)
There were these days as I hear from my Grandparents in the 1940's when a Salary paid was Rs. 5/- per month and everyone was still Happy. That was the salary of my Grand Father when he got married!!!! Sounds like a Joke .Things costed less than Rupee 1 and what fun they had.They would wear the best , Live the happiest , Not to forget go to the best Schools, eat the healthiest and travel oh so frequently yet Saved from that Rs. 5 ? It's like a Dream! Picnics every week and loads of health and Happiness!
My Dad had a Handsome Pay of Rs. 875/- when he decided to settle down with my beautiful Mother in the 70's. I Love this. I cannot digest the fact that Rs. 875/- today would not even get me basic Ration for the month , Cannot even imagine running a household with it! They did it all. They put us in the best of schools, they gave us all their time and at the same time taught us the Value of money. I remember opening up a minor's Bank account when I was 12 years as Dad wanted me to learn the part of saving!
My First Official Salary was Rs. 4228/- in 2003 .I thought I made it big time! Lol! Was staying in the Company's guest House . Food was Free . No transportation expense to Office as Company gave that too. Yet Rs. 4228/- about 7 years back was difficult to deal with.
Its a Rat Race as we call it.And for what? Artificial Food, High Stress factor's and the most dangerous of All - Health Problems.
Where are we heading towards? I have to put in to say- Nowhere, Frankly Nowhere! Can anyone of us predict the next minute happening? No , then what for do we have to run for More.
Its just for- A few rupees only /- Is there any Limit????
