SO WHAT'S POSITIVE FOR TOURISM AFTER THE CORINA CRISIS?  

( Disclaimer- These are just the personal insights of the writer and may not be considered as exhaustive) 


LETS BELIEVE IN THREE THINGS-

ONE - TRAVEL CAN NEVER STOP  ... IT HAS TO TRAVEL

 TWO- THE WORLD WILL BE CHEAPER TO TRAVEL

THREE-  SAFER AND MORE CLEANER WORLD

Let's see How? 


1) The needs and dreams will be the spark- Need based travel will be for those who have to return to their hometown. While they certainly will be quite a number but the bookings will happen and certainly not free. 
For people who have been planning to travel will now surely want to explore their dreams and fulfill them 

2) Domestic markets will see a sudden boost- For majority of the people travelling international will not happen soon so the Domestic market will be the best option to unwind  

3) International travel will also be benefited- Certainly International travel will mostly be based on the needs to return to hometowns but one cannot rule out the possibility of the tourists. Though maybe slow but it will pickup even stronger than before as people will explore more now. 

4) Discounts to attract tourists will bring the upswing - Everyone will want business and they will reduce costs in turn cheap packages can be planned and travel will be cheaper. 

5) Governments will bring in measures to reduce taxes and help balance the losses . So flexibility can be attractive for New Entrepreneurs. - While the Industry Stalwarts will surely benefit, it will be the upspring for the new ventures who will find it easier to start and manage the business.

6) Wellness Tourism will touch all time high- The need to relax and unwind will see un upsurge 

7) Wildlife Tourism will get benefit- The social distancing and the need to connect to nature will surely get one to visit the Jungles.

8) Agri Tourism will be the in thing- Visiting Farms and Orchards especially where Organic Cultivation along with Village Feel will be preferred . 

9) Skilled professionals will increase - With all the trainings and Webinars and hopefully for those who utilized the time to learn new things will see better skilled professionals 

10) Niche markets will emerge to get benefits of Tourism- New Norms and the need to keep the distancing in places will attract the unknown niche and secluded places to pick up .

11) Travel will be more Safer and hygienic 😇- Safety will be the topmost priority and we certainly will see a more safe and hygienic surrounding . Also the Environment has got a breather so there will be cleaner rivers,lakes etc and greener surroundings to enjoy.

So, it’s all there! The Covid-19 has now become an epidemic and it’s highly affecting our Tourism Industry. While we know it’s going to be losses and the situation is certainly out of control what must one do during these days of the unwanted off seasons?
Here’s what one can do-

1) Train yourself in what you do not know
We all know what we have been doing but why not learn what we so not. Simply saying if you have been handling domestic tickets now learn International ticketing. Or if you have been handling International packages learn Domestic too. A lot of time is there and if the agency is open then staff can train each other.

2) Plan for the next season
Anticipating that once everything settles then tourism will be at an all time high. It will be likely that one can tab on the available promotional offers that one can think of to attract clients. Costing can be done later but thinking of potential clients and finance the next season can better.

3) Ponder upon the wrong in the past
Look at whatever and wherever you have gone wrong in the past and made mistakes and if what  you did was correct or not. How better it can be done.

4) Learn a new language
Travel is all about knowing different cultures and the start is always by conversation. This spare time can be utilised to learn a new language and it is indeed going to be an asset in the future.

5) Search new hotels that can be a part of your packages in future
We become comfortable with selling only products that we have and with the busy schedule we may not find time to look for new hotels that may be suitable to us and we overlooked it earlier.

6) Study your own packages and check what can be better
A lot goes into planning a tour package and there may be updating required . Read the packages and update them if needed.

7) Destination Information
Search for new attractions in the destinations you are dealing with. An add on will always be great to give to your clients


8) Study what our Competitors are offering
In the times when we know there is such stiff competition we must see what our competitors are offering. We can see our shortcomings or also find something new to add in our packages.
Also pricing can be studied to know the differences and can be helpful in comparison to tell the clients when needed.

9) Develop Customer Database to offer them future deals
Goes without saying that we want to find the best possible for our clients.  By developing a database we can choose to offer new packages according to the preferences we have noted in the database. The clients will be more than happy later with you.

10) Plan your vacation
You sell what you see... Having said that, plan your own vacation . Look out for the best way to travel, what all to cover and all that you have been dreaming of.

THE 4TH ANGLE - UNKNOWN AS A BARTENDER….

This morning as I woke up, I felt a strange sense of emptiness in me. It was unknown to me why I was feeling this way but it was so predominantly present in my thoughts.

As I looked into the mails I came across an article that caught my immediate attention and I got my answer to the Emptiness within me !

 The Article said-

 “TALK TO YOUR BARTENDER …..” and I Strongly believe that  anything related with ALCOHOL  IS ADDICTIVE- ;-) ROFL !!!!-

The Lesson I  have learned  from the Article is that sometimes we have to believe that there is someone out there who is God Sent and without your knowing will give you answers to your problems. When this happens to you, do not forget to Believe in the Miracles of  God and that he knows us better than we would ever know ourselves...

Here it goes-

EVER SINCE I WAS A CHILD, I'VE ALWAYS HAD A FEAR OF SOMEONE UNDER MY BED AT NIGHT.

SO I WENT TO A DOCTOR AND TOLD HIM . . . 'I've got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there's somebody under it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy..'

'Just put yourself in my hands for one year,' said the doctor.

'Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears.'

'How much do you charge?'

'Eighty dollars per visit,' replied the doctor.

'I'll sleep on it,' I said.

Six months later the doctor met me on the street. 'Why didn't you ever come to see me about those fears you were having?' he asked.

'Well, eighty bucks a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! A bartender cured me for $10. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new pickup!'

'Is that so!' With a bit of an attitude he said, 'and how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?'

'He told me to cut the legs off the bed! - Ain't nobody under there now ! ! ! '

YOUR BARTENDER MAY BE EVEN A CHILD SO , GO HAVE A DRINK & TALK TO YOUR VERY OWN BARTENDER  BECAUSE THE 4^TH ANGLE COMES FROM THE UNKNOWN!

Maturity...

Yes we are in Kalyug….Everything around us is happening and growing in leaps and bounds. It is beyond human imagination yet we are deciphering the unknown technologies and people are going crazier day by day. The bits and pieces of technology are happy making things Smaller and Smaller. I say bits and pieces coz they are sometimes even smaller than our own hands can use and you need to use another piece to make it work . The irony is that the smaller , the more costlier. Its just the opposite for Money. The More money, the more Grandeur and respect in society.

So lets think ,

1)    Does maturity come with Money?

2)  D oes Maturity Come with Age as one has had various  Experiences in life ?

3) Does Maturity  have a real life definition for every individuals own circumstances ?

Lets say Maturity Comes with Money. If we have ample amount of money we can get things done as per our whims and fancies. We can see and have the best of everything that we desire of and even people who we meet in society are well to do mature people . We can have the best of education and can be brilliant students. Oh there is so much that one can do with money. Right ? I have here to say … Not really Right… Even the best of everything is a failure if there is no knowledge of pain and suffering . God Bless if there is in the very few and one does realize and share their wealth for the needy. But at the end of it can we really justify that money will bring maturity?

Now lets say Maturity comes with Age.  More justifiable is this by many. We hear statements like, Oh he /she is Old enough to understand, or this one is more sad to hear- He/She ought to know at this age. How can we say such things when we do not really know what is the actual reason why the other person may not be knowing it. Its as simple to question a Layman to be a Doctor ! One may have aged, have had various experiences but does not mean it brings in the maturity.

Lets take the answer to the third question. Ask a small poor child who is working to earn a living for the family. Compare the thoughts with the thoughts of the same age child from a higher strata of society. Fairly enough both children may not know how to share their feelings but the poor child will certainly value the things more than the rich child. The same value may not be there in a person even at an age of 50 . Also it is often seen that when a person has seen so much one resorts to being Childish. Simply because they know it’s the best way to be happy and accept the others as they are. Only when one has a clear perception that whatever one will do and whatever the consequences may result in, it was a decision taken by self and no one can be blamed for it, that real Maturity triumphs.

We have no real answers and they may differ from one individual to another but the real truth lies in accepting the weakness and strengths of those who we come across and simply doing what best at that moment would bring peace around will be an act of Maturity . As the wordings go- Take advices from all you feel will be good to give and follow your own Hearts Positive and Good Advice. This way neither will you blame anyone and nor will you create disharmony. Well I gave my advice… You decide yours …. God Bless!

Why not for You Yourself !!!

We all just saw a Revolution that happened when our entire Nation got up to speak against Corruption. The fight took momentum, the twists and turns happened and we all see where we are now.We Praised the New Gandhi among us and believed in the hopeful fact that this would change so many of those who are Parasites in our Country....Sadly all the parasites are now immune to this agitation as well!

And a New Bug is here Inflation and Petrol Prices. Our Country always boasts of  "Unity in Diversity" , yeah we only see this coming true when Prices of same commodities are different in all the states and the only Unity is within the handful who share the profits. If we talk of Taxes increased in the International Markets for any of the commodities , compensate the prices with increase in items which are not of use to common people. A common person can live without alcohol and cigarettes but Obviously not without food and the basic necessity of Transportation which requires fuel.

The sale of Cars is at an all time high. Everyone wants to feel Luxurious, and True why Not? But what about the Fuel ? Resources are depleting , God only knows how many years will we remain so Luxurious .Our Country is developing at the fastest pace but an Expansion Plan is nowhere concrete.  The gap between the Rich and Poor is increasing and though this is evident in a fast developing nation, the drift is the most troublesome to the Common Man. 

The world has become the screen display in a Google Search now but we have those who are begging on streets . Is this the Expansion we want , Where are we now? When do we get up to stand for Everyday Commodities? Remember the  Jaago Grahak Campaign ! I guess we all have forgotten the simple work thats important- 

 Start from where you stand not where Others do ...

Seen the movie or heard the song ? The Words are just how we feel. Torn between the yesterdays and tomorrows , not able to live the present ! 

Every  word  hits you hard –

The bitter truth is this (Critics both Positive and Negative welcome for all for whats written ahead!). We are like “Trained fools”!  Trained by the past to take on the future. Very few of us live in the present and learn from it. BUT ,  its only a handful who go and pursue “THEIR OWN WAYS”. Rest all get trapped in the vicious circle of this Made up society of Hopes and Assumptions! God give them the power to listen to their “HEARTS CALLING”!!!

Give them the realization of their purpose that they are here for. From the Handful who do go ahead to fulfill their lives their ways are the ones who have lived up to the purpose that they are here on this Earth for. Rest are as the name- Naadaan (Innocent and trapped)!

Taking it to a Level which is seen to all of us … Why is the World needing to be more and more Spiritual day by day! Alright we do have fraud Spiritual Gurus  I agree. But there are the Genuine lots as well . Well what is subject matter of concern here that We all are Spiritual Beings and with the happenings around us  we are Deaf Ears to the Hearts Calling. We are Seeking to know the Hearts Language but through the outside Words. If with the Goodness within us we do hear our Heart we are programmed by Society to fit it into the False Frame the moment we come back to the real world. So the NAADAAN PARINDEY we remain until the moment of truth strikes us! 

 There is a Kabir’s Doha that I am suddenly reminded-

“ Mala pherat jug beet gaya , phira na man ka pher,

Karka Manka Chodke , Man ka Manka Pher”

So there are these teachings as well of the Past . Are these not what is important ? Or do we want to take up the Stingy Rules and Regulations of Society which is totally Man Made?
